Children and Parenting Support
Childhood is a time of enormous growth and development, and it's natural for children to experience emotional and behavioural challenges as they learn to navigate the world around them. At times, however, these challenges can begin to affect a child's confidence, relationships, learning and overall wellbeing, leaving parents feeling worried, uncertain or unsure how best to help.
Whether your child is experiencing anxiety, emotional or behavioural difficulties, challenges related to neurodivergence, or struggling with a significant life change, you don't have to navigate it alone. Therapy provides a safe and supportive space for children to develop emotional understanding, confidence and resilience, while also supporting parents to better understand their child's needs and feel more confident in responding to them.

How we can work together
Every child is unique, which is why I take an individualised approach to therapy. My aim is to provide a warm, safe and engaging space where children feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace. Children often communicate their emotions through behaviour rather than words, so together we'll take the time to understand what may be contributing to the challenges they're experiencing, while building on their existing strengths.
Parents play an important role in supporting their child's emotional wellbeing. Alongside working with your child, I work collaboratively with parents to develop a deeper understanding of their child's emotional world, strengthen confidence in responding to challenges, and develop practical strategies that can be carried into everyday life. Depending on your child's age and needs, therapy may include play-based activities, emotional regulation, anxiety management, building confidence and resilience, parent consultations, and collaboration with schools or other professionals where appropriate.
