RT Psychological services provides Cognitive Assessments for all ages.  Unfortunately there are no Medicare rebates available for these sessions, please check directly with your Private Health Insurance fund as to whether you are eligible for any rebates.  

An assessment involves three steps - 

• A 1.5-hour parent intake session where a thorough developmental history is taken.

• A 1-2 -hour child assessment session using psychometric testing (WPPSI-V, WISC-V or WAIS-V).

• A 1-hour feedback session where results are discussed, and a comprehensive report is provided (typically 4 weeks after the last of the assessment sessions are completed).

FEES

The cost for a full assessment is typically $1,000, however this may change if further sessions and assessments are needed to make a definitive diagnosis.  If assessment is being sought in order to determine eligibility for funding, please let us know, as we are able to complete a Vineland-3 Assessment in addition to the standard Cognitive Assessment.  We kindly ask for a non-refundable deposit of $200 which is processed at the time of booking.  Once the payment is received, we start the assessment process by emailing through intake paperwork, and questionnaires.
